The website, the iPhone app, and Android
Scroll the Bible is an iPhone app on the App Store and a website at scrollthebibleapp.com. There is no Android app in the Google Play Store. On Android, Scroll the Bible runs in your browser.
One account for both
The website and the iPhone app share one account. You sign in to both with your email and the 6-digit code we send. See Sign in.
When you sign in on the website:
- Your likes, notes, and search history from the website are added to your app account.
- Your reading plan progress stays in step between the website and the app.
- If you subscribed in the iPhone app, premium unlocks on the website too. If it does not show, open Settings, tap Subscription, then tap Restore Purchase.
When you are signed in, your theme and text size start out the same on a new browser or device, until you change them there. Your translation and red letters are saved in each browser and do not carry over.
On Android
There is nothing to download from the Google Play Store. Open scrollthebibleapp.com in your browser and start reading. It updates itself, so you are always on the newest version.
To open it like an app, add it to your home screen.
What the website does not have
- Offline reading. Every page needs an internet connection.
- Audio. There is no read-aloud. The closest is Auto-scroll, which moves through verses for you.
- Reminders. The website does not send notifications.
